Henry’s physicality. 

  1. How would other people describe the character’s physical appearance?
  2. Good or bad, what is the character’s most striking feature?
  3. How would you describe the character’s strength, endurance, and coordination when it comes to physical activity and sports?
  4. Does the character have any permanent physical defects, such as nearsightedness, or temporary ones, such as a broken leg? If so, what are they?
  5. What is the character’s greatest physical asset?

I would say that Henry’s greatest physical asset is his strength. Even tough he knows that his severe acne swept away all of his “beauty”, the only aspect that he can show and be admired for is his powerful strength but nobody seemed to care or were blinded by the rest of his ugly features: “I didn’t want o be seen wearing swimming trunks because my back was covered with boils and scars.Outside of that, I had good body. But nobody would notice that. I had a good chest and great legs but nobody  would see that”(164).

6.What is the character’s greatest physical weakness or liability?

One of the greatest physical weakness of Henry is his acne,it has created a barrier between him and social interaction : ” I broke out with acne.Many of the guys had it but not like mine.Mine was really terrible.It was the worst case in town…It happened just as I was beginning to be accepted as a tough guy and a leader”(122).

Henry’s inner life.

  1. How would you describe the character’s intelligence? Henry is such an intelligent human being, he has the capacity to analyze different situation earth than the people surrounding him. He indeed doesn’t like to go to school, however according to him life should not be summarized to the degree or social class that you belong. Henry does not want to follow the herd and fit into society’s mold: ‘I could see road ahead of me. I was poor and I was going to stay poor. But I didn’t want money.I didn’t know what I wanted.Yes, I did. I wanted some place to hide out, someplace where one didn’t haveodo anythingThe thought of being somehting didn’t only appal me, it sickened me”(192).
  2. How would you describe the character’s imagination?
  3. How does the character rate in terms of common sense and sound judgment?
  4. How would you describe the character’s outlook on life?
  5. Does the character tend to be dominant or submissive with others, and why? Actually he tends to show that he’s the leader,that he is unstoppable and not afraid of others. However, he acts that way only when he  does not feel intimidated by  wealthy or handsome guys . He is the one being dominated but the roles switch as soon as someone else’s attitude or social status overthrow him.

  9. What is the character’s biggest success in life so far?
  10. What is the character’s biggest failure in life so far?

The future is filled with surprises, but what about mine ? What will I become ?  It is as if falling off a cliff and never be able to touch the ground. Will my present choices forge my future ?

  25. What is the character’s greatest psychological strength?I would say that my greatest psychological strength is my ability to analyze every situation that I’m facing. I’m able to observe and quickly  analyze and balance the outgoing consequences.
